drunken diamonds
lacerate the lives they touch
with piercing points of bottle glass
love shunted through obliques
acute behavior pairs in tandem turn
to wits obtuse with dizzied sense
the lines of intersection lost
now parallel and parted by mad
rushing waters bonded brown
where cravings float
affections drown
Dazzling, Paul!! Is it all done with smoke and mirrors?! 🙂 At any rate, what a conception, perfectly executed.

thank you sincerely – no smoke or mirrors – just the geometry of imperfect diamonds known as parallelograms and alcoholics I’ve encountered

‘Parallelograms and alcoholics I’ve encountered.’ Aside from it being a sublime poem what a great title to a book your riposte to a comment above would make!
