deadly sins
stalk the land
stealing shadows
for nest building
inside the hollows
of camera-lit words
uttered under
the capitol dome
speeches borne
upon tongues
brazed with ego
devoid of sworn duty

‘Devoid of sworn duty’. The difference between those who say and those who do. Theirs a shameful legacy. Therein not all men are equal. Such a sad fact.
