gumball fortunes
not worth their coins
tawdry prizes of
undersized dreams
invest in ambition
healthy hopes
reach for moons
hearts in orbit
absorbing stray sun
beat and breathe
with high purpose
to light the night
drawing the sleepless
most curious minds
to discoveries worth
more than life

I didn’t realize there were “gumball fortunes”.

that’s because you dream big – it’s the small dreamers that wind up with a handful of gumballs

Oh you’ve got me laughing again! My dreams are deceptively small (more on the impossible side)–so it’s a good thing I’ve got the “gratitude and contentment” thing goin’ for me.
