You did a good job of connecting the elements of nature with specific feelings. Your poem is timely, as I was just reading “Tom Brown’s Field Guide: Nature and Survival for Children.” I haven’t gotten far in it, but right from the get-go, he’s points out that we shouldn’t resist nature, since she always wins.
