every poem a synthesis
disparate fragments
who forfeit distinctions
find grander expression
as elements of a new
whole more profound
than a sum of its parts
every poem a replica
image depicting the poet
presenting cohesive
coherent new insight
an evergrown codex
that sharpens relief
of a naked laid mind
or perhaps every poem is a will-of-the-wisp that flitters through our thoughts then dissolves into vapor . . .

Photo reminds me of Eva Cassidy. “replica image depicting the poet”…I keep returning to that line, and the photo. =;-)
