arrange
your stems
artfully
blossoms
irrelevant
plain beauty
lies in the
homeliest
curl of a
leaning
apart from
the throng
one’s own
unadorned
stance
splendid
nuanced
presents
with a
posture
apparent of
more than
a pleasing
esthetic
but one
with the
visible
virtue of
personal
character
casting
uniquely
distinctive
identity
apt to be
frankly
admired
or at least
to have
earned the
respect of

Top Shelf! Best of Show! Incomparable! And all that jazz! Without knowing you better, I’ll just venture a guess that this poem is also a statement of how you choose to live your life — “leaning against the throng.” May your throng increase!

I admired and was quite tempted to purchase this very tree just the other day where I work. Lovely piece.

I thought maybe my screen went black, as there’s no poem–fine photo! (I do get the “minimalism”.)

oh my – there IS a poem there – should be to the right of the image along the right side edge of the screen

I don’t know how I missed the poem yesterday (I have difficulty with black background blogs, yours is the only one I read now)–it’s very beautiful in its quietness.

Did exactly the same thing as Ponder last year! Kinda thought done deliberately being about minimalism! 😉

I really appreciated this one, being reduced to stems, the blossoms of youth all gone.
