we made a pact
regarding forever
now we know
it is me
who will break it
if never did I
amount to a thing
I was always
a man of my word
tell the world
it was words
those poor locums
we choose
that we ineptly use
to stand in for
what lives
in the heart
it was words
that so failed
in the test
of their faith
not the man
Read it three time Paul. I can only say remarkable insightful philosophy and worthy pride…that’s rather a lot of things in hindsight…superb

‘Immensely moving’ is a rather clumsy offering, I know, but it would be rather impossible to find the words that will bring adequate praise

This is beautifully moving, and I’m left with sadness.

Paul, this is superb. On the few occasions when a writing touches me emotionally I extend heartfelt appreciation and thanks to its creator. Beautifully penned Paul.
