  1. Aside from brilliant you done it again…I attempted to tackle the same issue this very day yet having read this it is back to the drawing board! The imagery – yes I believe that is the correct word – is sublime.

    “So empty the ashtray, sweep up the floor / Put a lock on your door
    If somebody calls in the morning / Just say we don’t live here no more” . . .

    I like the idea of the purity of our ashes, cleansed of all the infiltrating diseases that destroy us. I want to return to the earth without being a pathological poison to the soil. 🙂

  4. Lovely poem, beautifully expressed. A release of suffering. Difficult to read, I must admit, my grandmother just passed and she chose cremation. Touching words, to say the least. Thank you for sharing.
