the flaw is the bend in the light
gives a curve to our words
no straight shot to the truth
every story subjected to warp
it is gravity steals our perfection
creates a mistrust of all beautiful
judgments injects apprehension
between what we see and we get
perhaps we were better off blind
with Newtonian certainty back before
Einstein first picked up his chalk
Paul, only you could pull off a poem on Physics! 🙂

ha ha – I’ve read such poems by others, but I thank you nonetheless – physics has always a fascination for me

Notwithstanding that it is most pertinent to this magnificent short poem but what a line, ‘gravity steals our perfection’ – if it were worth anything to anyone (which it isn’t right now) I’d give my right arm to have thought of that!

Perhaps you’re right! There must be a law ofphysics that says a nail will always bend where it was first bent . . . Same with Adam & Eve . . .
