“Choices V” by Castro ART
so many paths beckon
like beds in a brothel
the sylvan or silken
inaudible voice with
its promise of bliss
a suggestive appeal
to the internal ears
private politics hears
these sultry seductions
entice even subconscious
steps on their journey
they speak a molecular
language to either the
mindless or careless
biology lacking or weakly
conditioned by ethics
the pre-purposed
well-reasoned screen
that reliably filters
the virtue from vice

“Nobody ever did, or ever will,
escape the consequences of his choices.”

This sounds a bit political (in a good way). I like your use of words.

all of life is a bit political, I suppose

Interesting beginning “beds in a brothel”. Then the words tumble down the page so fast no wonder choice gets lost in the shuffle. The sounds and rhymes are worth the fall.
