gambling is
clearly a game
for the head
not the heart
pushing chips
without carefully
reckoning odds
is as foolish when
one plays for love
as it is when one
plays for money

I understand that I had more chance statistically of being hit by a meteorite than winning the lottery with the ticket I purchased the other day…idiot that I am! Which reminds me if you are looking for a good read Paul, ‘The Universe Versus Alex Woods’ by Gavin Extence is rather fine

By the way Paul…just this minute ordered your new book…a delay in ordering caused by me doing a ‘disc clean-up’ thing that wiped out my passwords to everything inc. Amazon! Thankfully my son sorted the irksome issue out!

I’d be scared to be let loose in Las Vegas in case I discovered my inner gambler.

Such truth in this, Paul… I am not a gambler… I know I have an addictive personalty… I would lose everything.. and probably my soul too.
