cold cracks tender stems
white smothers new green
with its jealousy
early glory of spring
quashed by winter’s revenge

How I wish snow would be mail-able, you could send me endless supplies!
I often wonder, upon reading poems such as yours, how much of nature’s true mischievous face do we see, and/or how much of it have we, the humanity, sculpted. Of all the things that scare me, the climate is slowly climbing to the very top.
