scattered signals
emit from your posture
fidgets and faces
imply your discomfort
either with me or yourself
whichever it is
it’s all upon you
I am perfect with conscience
at ease
with the truth
if that troubles you
you should perhaps
discuss politics
somewhere other than here
with some other friend
but I really appreciate
your dropping by
lol. I can only laugh out loud. Nicey.

Great poem. I always wondered–re the final 2 lines–which is correct, “your” or “you”. Now I know, thanks.

Like a beautiful cryptic social skills training …and assertiveness training to the one who does not know to handle a hand that does not know to hold when you extend….Superb !

I had a little fun there putting thought bubbles above the bored guy’s head. I’m pretty sure I’ve been on both ends of that conversation. ‘Did ye, aye? Good for you. Really? Beam me up, Scottie. Feck sake, wheest, will ye.’ I could go on. And have been known to. 🙂
