the talents of trees
entertain every window
concerts of color
delightful ballets
lithe of movement
with vibrance of
birdsong and breezes
convened by a
mountain-slope summer
its classical tendencies
worn by this woodland
through histories
brought to this moment
of private audition
Apollo presents
for my pleasure alone
lovely post

I needed to be cheered up a tad this day…the grave politics of this tedious nation of mine is so very depressing…whatever, this one did the trick. Cheers Paul.

glad I could help even a little – the murder of your member was quite shocking

Totally beautiful title, painting and poem. I am a lover of trees, particularly the oak tree I watch from the window of my fourth floor apartment.

What a lovely poem. I love trees – a love inspired by my mum who highlighted there beauty on every journey we took that passed trees. When she died, we planted an Oak Tree in a beautiful tree lined avenue in one of the beautiful National Trust estates – Tatton Park in the UK and as a family we return there regularly to watch as the tree grows. Our granddaughters ask now – “Can we go and see Nanna’s tree?” so our love for trees is continuing through the new generations of our family. Thanks for this beautiful poem which I’m going to print out if that’s ok so I can look at it regularly.. I love it! x
