am I who I see
in the mirror
or in the sheen
of your eyes
am I who I hear
in my breathing
or in the beats
of your heart
perhaps I am
all of them
but what if
I am none

Identity to me, speaks of doubt…of a new love that has not yet felt a solid foundation or an old love that is questioning it survival. This poem a creation of either the poet’s soul or the poet’s imagination, it has no stumbling blocks, it flows. AJM

I wish I could have written this as – and I suspect most readers will – I can identify with it. Shame I can’t though. Wonderful piece.
