Love geodes. A couple of years back, we purchased an unopened geode at a mineral museum. They had a geode cracker in the lobby, which you could use to discover what was inside. Hemotite in my case.

It now sits in a ceramic bowl on a table with other items we have collected in our travels. I noticed that a small bird sculpted in stone from our trip to South Africa is now “nesting” in the geode. Looks like a humming bird. 🙂
