“Ring the Church Bells” by Catherine Bennett
purity rings
diaphanous tones
in vitreous waves
lenses moistened
euphonically
speaking glass words
up a shivering spine
crystal colors
of grateful
impetuous smiles
for the blessings
of Sundays
(originally posted June 2013)

Phenomenally good–I love the beauty of “speaking glass words” and that crystal colors hold gratitude, smiles and Sunday blessings. I could just sit in this one all day, listening for the bells.

I agree with Rob, such artistry!
Speaking of French villages, I was in the French Alps 11 years ago, and it was so lovely to hear bells reverberate one Sunday morning, putting the cowbells out of business for a moment 🙂
I’m so happy there are church bells where we live. And I honestly don’t think there’s a better way to start a wedding service…utterly joyous.
