Time does fly. Today is the 4th anniversary of this poetry blog. Through writing more than 3,700 posts, I have found this experience to be at once challenging and fulfilling. For this ailing old geezer, it has also been quite therapeutic. It provides me with a special sense of purpose that retirees rarely enjoy.

To all who have taken time and trouble to visit this site and read some of my work, I send my heartfelt thanks. Without your continuing support and apparent enthusiasm, I would long ago have folded this endeavor.

Thanks also to all those faceless enablers at WordPress who’ve provided me with such an excellent user-friendly platform. It nicely suits my decidedly non-technical skill set. And it’s opened my world to the affections of a most stimulating global community.

God willing, here’s to another 4 years of blogging.

  3. Four years is but a heartbeat for you! Congratulations on the milestone: may it be a landmark you look back on next year and say ‘This is where I was before I moved on!’ Blessings! And thanks for all the inspiration . . .

      • Ohhh, thank you so much for that, Paul–I was certain you were well rid of me. Much has happened in less than 2 months–but the best part is that the friends I thought I’d lost have all welcomed my return to them, as you have. This has done wonders to show me I am not an unworthy slouch of a human being–but God’s bright (and often entertaining) light which my friends had faith would spark yet again. 2017 is going to be Maaa-velous, Stupendous and Stellar 🙂 So if you care to stay tuned to this blog, there will surely be updates as I receive them. I have tangible HOPE now, not just agonized praying with clenched-fist faith–regarding issues I had talked to you about quite awhile ago. And be assured, I’ve never stopped praying for you–your health–and your family’s well-being. From time to time, I checked to see your blog was still flourishing 🙂

  38. Enthusiasm indeed Paul. I’m tardy to catch up on my reading most often yet rest assured you are at the top of the list and with great anticipation and fondly remembered moments. Writing is so many things to its creator; cathartic, inspiring, curiosity, exploration and discovery and, yes, most gratifying. I began this journey in 2001 and in Feb., 2005 made WordPress my literary home ever since. It is gifted souls like yourself that bring new perspective, enlighten and ignite the imagination, marvel at your signature delivery and anxiously await your next offering. Marvelous.
