“Pain” Japanese Watercolor – Artist Unknown
can I kill it
deprive it
of power
by stealing
its name
a dead center
corruption
by altering
letters
a homely
deception
intent on
denying its
infamous rule
over jargon
of morbid
pathology
pray tell
what choice
do I have
but to try
given all else
resulting in
chronic cascade
of unbearable
failures
A battle plan, implemented. A clever poem, with more depth the more I think about it.

Sympathies, Paul. I don’t envy you, in this regard. Your writing… now, that’s another matter.

I really like the concept of rearranging the letters, calling it something other than the suffering it is–a positive move, I dare say.

I feel sadness and a sense of victory. Interesting smoky picture.
