if he lived but at all
in the free Lincoln green
no real idol or rogue
but some stature between
neither merry nor dour
with above average rate
as an archer with friends
and a sheriff to bait
more than likely a lad
who fell into the trawl
of peasantry hungry
for a hero in thrall

Nice take on our young Lord Locksley. 😉

Drove across Sherwood just the other day on may way to the hotel where my wife had her IPad stolen – you’ve got me thinking now was it Robin Hood who nicked it!

Poses the question, is theft permissible if rule is unjust? Tend to think, myself, that if there were no other option I’d pick up my bow and arrow and have a go! And I like forests. And green is my favourite colour. Made for the job, methinks. 😉

I rather fancy the thought that I might have filled the role of that roguish Friar Tuck
