“Crocefisso No. 9” by William G. Congdon
Neat-laid baldrics sling scabbard clad swords
Jeweled medallions and full-plumed chapeaus
Silken capes and white gloves all compose
The regalia of knights who kneel towards
The bright light of the true Lord of lords
Serving Charity to those in need
Pledging Unity of their devotion
And Fraternity through their promotion
Of a Patriotism by deed
That ensures free expression of creed

Ooooh, I like this. I know nothing about these modern day knights, so now I’m curious to study up a bit.

Actually, the Cajun side of my family is Catholic, so I’ve heard sporadic mention of the good things the K o C do–but I need to either read up, or ask my cousin for more info.

Powerful stuff that would sit comfortably with Arthurian legend let alone the sitting thus in reality.
