I like your poem Paul! Reminds me these two proverbs – “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.” – Proverbs 17:3 / “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and a man is tested by his praise.” – Proverbs 27:21

A year ago, we visited South Africa. Nelson Mendela had become legendary there. We took the boat out to Robben Island were he was imprisoned, along with many other political prisoners during those years. I think the question to observe is how the next generation of leaders use their power.
