if I could fly faster than time
beyond reach of tomorrows
I might just recover my yesterdays
live them again with more grace
recast my old age with some dignity
passion and pride once so fierce
given over to patience and modesty
faster than time is a speed that needs
magic momentum of mind
special powers of dreamscape
creating remarkable visions
behind sleeping eyes from the
yearnings of penitent conscience
to make the impossible possible
Ahh to get a do over! I do wonder though would I really do it different?

Faster than time? My dream…the possibilities are seductively endless. Wonderful words.

“to make the impossible possible”
a poet’s job, I think, and you have done it so well.

In our aging we journey farther faster fleeter than we ever did in our youth thanks to the gifts of memory and imagination. I feel a delicate touch in this verse . . .

ironic, perhaps, that the indelicate touch of time has made me increasingly delicate
