“Father and Son” by Amanda Olson
(I wrote this about 5 years ago, but recent trends in our culture would seem to make it, once again, apropos. Count me among those who proclaim “me too.”)
practicing respect
for the women in their life
brings boys their manhood
From my books Pentimento and Riverthink
Exquisite! Proud to know you. Touches one’s heart to know there are men who truly care appreciate and respect women. Not that all women deserve that kind of respect, because there are some who don’t, who act with as much depravity as seen on the news lately, but many many of us deserve to be treated graciously. The sign of true manhood. I couldn’t agree more! Thank you kind sir.

Beautiful thought, Paul. If everyone starts practicing this in real life, the world would be a better and a safer place for women.

Great timing for this. From a mother’s point of view watching my sons become husbands and then fathers fills my heart with tenderness.
