“Just Killing Time” by Tommie Olofsson
smashing clocks
with delicious
delirious anger
fed up with the
cruelty of time
bash the face
break the hands
kill the tick-tock
that arrogant
voice of a thief
sneering even
while dying in
grip of your rage
like he thinks
you a fool like he
knows something
special a secret to
take to his grave
From my book Small Noise
The only opponent who can claim to be ‘The Greatest’. Several billion KO’s; no defeats, yet even with that stat we still hate him. Superb poem, Paul.

no doubt there are many who hate your football team for winning too much

Superb. You gave “killing time” a new meaning. But why kill the messenger?

in this case, the messenger and message are one and the same

I battled father time quite some time ago and came out the champion. Splendid piece Paul.

Striking picture. Beating the clock is a challenge. 🙂
