“Deception” by Denise Sedor
too much trust in the eye
for an insincere world
all is not what it seems
in this prodigal plague
of mistaken identity
more than an unforced
unwitting illusion
reality hides inside
hoods of deception
four estates of the realm
each exhibit a rampant
political scorn with impunity
better to live in the mind
with ideas of democracy
notions of faith hope and truth
undisfigured by power

First word to last and all in between, exceptional take on the subject matter.

thank you, mike – how are the eyes?

Thanks for asking Paul. The left eye still has a mind of its own though my brain does now seem to be sending out revised signals the eye can understand – a micro version of having a leg amputated and the brain signals eventually successful in telling what’s left of the leg that the portion that once was has gone forever. ‘Tis strange how clever the mind works.

Ooh I can relate to this… Yet I think internet has given us unique opportunities to meet others. Finding the safe way is key perhaps.
