the hill that
was a mountain
worn down
by endless time
the forest
once a meadow
raised up
by endless time
the desert
once an ocean
dried up
by endless time
the old man
once so callow
made wise
by endless time
the poet
once dilettante
purposed
by endless time
time itself
seeming endless
deceived
by its own myth
change is a
birth with a death
conjoined
by existence
Time, huh? That seems to be a partner of yours!

I’m making friends with time, too, Paul, entirely of necessity. It isn’t so bad once you get the hang of it – and then we die, hahahaha!
This is lovely, bearing truth in every stanza. ❤

Seems a bit Zen to me. A look at time most realistically, and, of course, unDer your pen, beautifully.
