  2. This is really a very good piece. I had to read this a few times, but I think the crux of this poem is our “baseless belief in a sureness of sunrise”, or that nothing in our lives in this vast universe is certain.

  3. Hmm, pondering another great poem–love the tart ending, still thinking about night being the natural state. Is that because the world began in darkness? Actually, it’s kind of comforting–makes my frequent darkness seem less an anomaly.
