old things die amid new
a fleeting duet
color comes of a season
vibrant yellow
on loan from the sun
life and death
in the tint of their turns
each a gift
in its own right of moment
small piece
of that generous arc
that defines
the invisible motion of time
Made me shiver a little reading this. Superb, Paul

Incredibly lovely, Paul–I’m especially struck, marveling over “tint of their turns”. I realize we both are fond of alliterations, but this adds color–which is always nice.

the new and old (life and death) yellows in the photo spoke to me that way

It’s hard to comment on poetry, I can never think of anything meaningful to say. But this was good.
